Cross & Brew (“the app”) is developed and operated by Deck14 Studios. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication). You may also play as a guest without providing any personal information — guest accounts are anonymous and identified only by a randomly assigned device ID.

Game Progress Data
We store your puzzle progress, hints remaining, bean balance, bonus word counts, and achievement stats in Google Firestore. This data is linked to your account (or anonymous device ID) and is used solely to sync your progress across sessions.

Advertising
We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID on Android or IDFA on iOS) to serve relevant ads. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings:
– iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
– Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads

In-App Purchases
If you make a purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not collect or store your payment information. Purchase receipts are validated through the respective platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:
– Save and restore your game progress
– Authenticate your account and keep it secure
– Display advertisements to support the free version of the app
– Process in-app purchases

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account exists. Guest (anonymous) accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 months may be deleted. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 6).

4. Children’s Privacy

Cross & Brew is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
